6. Home of the Week: Designer's View of a Regular Dacha

Pavel Zheleznov and Tatiana Borisova decided to recreate a traditional Russian estate interior in a regular dacha with a grand hall and dining room. The project's creators were inspired by the history of the place where the house is located. The village of Ostrov in the Leningrad district of Moscow Oblast, first mentioned in the spiritual document of Ivan Kalyta in the early 14th century, belonged to great princes and tsars. This log house with a history – three generations of the family live here.
