Inventions That Help Save Water in the Bathroom
It's beneficial to use water economically not only for your personal budget but also for ecology. Let's find out how to do it without compromising personal comfort.
There are many devices that can significantly reduce water consumption in the bathroom, legally. Today we'll look at the most common ones.
1. Faucet and Shower Aerator
This is a very simple and effective solution: air is mixed into the water stream, reducing the flow rate of the faucet or showerhead, and you use less water.

2. Shower and Mixer Thermostat
Remember how long you turn the taps to get the right temperature? Scientists estimate that about 7–8 liters of water are wasted this way. With a thermostat, you can set the desired temperature and avoid wasting water while waiting.

3. Single-Handle Mixer
Nothing magical will happen, but as in the previous case, you'll save time adjusting water temperature.

4. Sensor Mixer
You're likely familiar with this invention: sensor mixers are often used in sinks in cafes and shopping centers. These mixers are quite convenient: water flows when you bring your hands near the tap, and stops when you move them away. Thus, water doesn't run unnecessarily, but these mixers are quite expensive.
There is a more affordable alternative – a sensor attachment for the faucet with batteries. By the way, if you have young children who are no longer toddlers but still quite independent, such an attachment is a lifesaver because you don’t have to check if the water is off.

5. Water Pedal
Water pedals are rarely found in bathrooms, but they're often used in restaurant kitchens. It works simply: press the pedal – water flows, release it – water supply stops. In principle, a water pedal can also work well for a sink in the bathroom.
6. Washing Machine
Modern washing machines significantly reduce water consumption for laundry compared to older models, especially when using the 'quick wash' cycle. They also save time, effort, and protect your manicure.

7. Spiky Shower Curtain
We don't argue that buying it in Russia is not easy, but consider the concept: if you stay in the shower longer than 4 minutes, the spikes inflate and literally push you out of the bathtub!
We hope you’ll choose more gentle options from our list above.
