How to Place Household Appliances on the Kitchen: 8 Ideas
Of course, nobody cancels the rule of the work triangle: its components are the sink area, cooking (stove), and storage (refrigerator). It's comfortable to work on the kitchen when the distance from one vertex to another is no more than three steps, but not less than one. But when the kitchen is practically a living space, everything can be much more interesting.
1. Everything Under the Countertop
In a minimalist kitchen-living room, you can do without upper cabinets and the standard refrigerator: both the refrigerator and freezer can easily be hidden under the countertop. This approach saves space and avoids compromises in interior design.

2. For Lovers of Classic Style
Classic style is impossible without symmetry. This kitchen-dining room design includes many elements of traditional interior. The working area of the kitchen vaguely resembles an old hearth. Household appliances are built into columns to the right and left of the stove, and the sink is located on an island.

3. The Invisible Kitchen
In this studio apartment project, the kitchen is made as unobtrusive as possible: the oven and coffee machine are built into a column veneered with dark wood, the stove and sink are hidden behind a bar counter that serves as a dining table, the refrigerator and dishwasher — under the countertop.

4. When There's Very Little Space
With a total flat area of only 16 square meters, separating the kitchen from the room is impossible. And why even try? It's better to ensure that every item is good in itself and aligns with the overall design concept. And don't keep anything unnecessary at home, including household appliances.

5. The Most Needed Items Within Reach
If the sink and stove are located at the same vertex, there's a chance to place some necessary item in the freed-up corner that you forgot about during the kitchen design phase. For example, a microwave oven.

Designers recommend choosing household appliances that look neutral in any style, so they fit easily into the interior. The LG Neo Chef microwave is an example of modern equipment that would look appropriate in a traditionally decorated kitchen.

6. Center of Attention
Sometimes household appliances can become a style-forming element of the interior: for example, if it is done in the trendy 50s or 60s style.

7. When the Kitchen Is Not Main
If the kitchen is not the main focus, it can even be in the hallway. The set of household appliances is automatically limited to the essential minimum: refrigerator, sink, stove with two burners.

8. Built-in Solutions
New technologies allow changing all rules, even those that once seemed unshakable. In this studio apartment, the stove and range hood are built into the dining table, the dishwasher is hidden under the countertop. Behind the black cube doors are the refrigerator and wine cabinet.
