Letting go of multi-layered ceilings, plastic moldings, and several other 90s trends you're familiar with

Multilevel Gypsum Ceilings
It's unclear what kind of load this multi-level structure bears, often used in rooms with low ceilings. Always aim to keep the ceiling height as high as possible. By the way, abandoning gypsum excesses will significantly reduce costs.

Colorful LED Underlighting
LED strips used as shelf or specific feature lighting can be useful in interior design, but use them carefully and calculate the light dispersion angle properly. Special profiles with diffusers help.

Plastic Moldings
If moldings are used, then only gypsum and only on high ceilings. The same applies to plastic cornices, columns, and wall decor.

So-called Classic Style

Classic elements are fine only in small details. Place one beautiful armchair and hang an old mirror with a carved frame. A large classical chandelier looks absurd at ceiling heights slightly over two meters.

Gold
Gold is an active detail; there shouldn’t be too much of it. Choose a single tone for all metal elements: handles, mixers, spotlights, and switches. But if it's hard to find the right proportion, it's better to avoid gold in interior design.

Mixed Flooring
Unify functional zones with one type of flooring. Living room and bedroom – the same flooring, such as wood. Foyer, bathrooms, kitchen – naturally, tiles.
