Unusual Scandi Apartment for Music Lovers
In old houses where the interior was not designed specifically but rather shaped over years, life naturally revolves around the owner's interests. The most valuable items take center stage, with everything else arranged nearby, making it easy to understand what is primary and what secondary.
In this apartment in Goteborg, for example, the center is music. Its owners have been buying vinyl records for many years, and their collection has grown so much that they specially ordered open shelves to accommodate it.

The owners also have an undisputed idol – John Lennon. Their vinyl collection includes many records of this legendary musician, and photographs of him hang on the walls, either alone or with artist Yoko Ono.

This apartment is a perfect example of a Scandinavian home that many people love for its simplicity, adherence to traditions, and yet lightness and freedom.
Any item can find its place in it, from a leather Chesterfield sofa and a teak armchair to a plastic chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames half a century ago that fits beautifully into modern interiors.

The vinyl record collection is kept on the first floor in the living room, where the turntable also stands. Behind the living room is a narrow kitchen ending in sliding doors leading to the garden. It's easy to imagine how cozy it is here on summer evenings when the doors are wide open, the garden table is set for evening tea, and the music from the sixties plays in the living room.
