12 Ideas for Organizing a Closet
As more clothes, shoes, and accessories accumulate in your closet, there's no extra space. If you don't have the option to add another wardrobe or dresser, your only choice is to get creative and find clever solutions. We've prepared several useful life hacks for you.
1. Use Free Space
Instead of hanging your collection of scarves and coats on hangers, which takes up valuable closet space, use the empty wall. Simply attach a kitchen rail (available at IKEA) to the wall and you'll have a spot for storing scarves.

2. Use Rails for Pegs
Another option is to organize the storage of high-heeled shoes with rails. Simple and effective.

3. Hang the Clothing Rod Higher Than Usual
At first glance, this method might seem unusual. But it has a good chance of helping you fit more in your small closet. Hang the clothing rod slightly higher than usual (around 2 meters from the floor) and you can fit an additional dresser or shoe rack.

4. Special Dividers Won't Hurt
Dividers for shelves help sort your clothes. For example, one stack can be for t-shirts, and another for sweaters. Finding the right item becomes easy, and keeping your closet organized is even easier.

5. Remember Shelf Brackets
Sometimes it's very beneficial to use an item not for its intended purpose. If you're short on space for hangers, IKEA comes to the rescue again! Shelf brackets (which are actually designed for mounting shelves) can conveniently store hangers with clothes.

6. ... and About Powerful Organizers
Don't be lazy and buy a few organizers. They will greatly simplify your life. For example, a hanging organizer with several compartments can be used to store sweaters that may stretch on hangers or take up too much space on shelves.

7. Hooks Are Perfect for Storing Bags
Wall hooks for bathrooms and kitchen rails can also be used in your closet. Hang them on a small rod and use them to store bags – this keeps accessories in shape, especially handles.

8. By Season or Type of Clothing?
Well-organized space helps save both closet space and your time. How do you choose your daily outfit? By season, clothing type, or maybe even by color palette. Sort your clothes accordingly – it will be much more convenient.

9. Shoes Facing Opposite Directions
Arrange your shoes so that the soles face opposite directions. This maximizes space.

10. Use Non-Standard Solutions
It turns out that a file organizer can be an excellent place to store wallets and clutches, while a paper towel holder can handle the task of storing all bracelets and belts.

11. Decorate the Closet
A little decoration won't hurt the closet. Classic patterned wallpaper, mirrors, bright hangers, and boxes can help create a closet where you want to keep things tidy. Avoid dried flowers or figurines – you don't want dust collectors that get in the way?

12. Don't Forget to Audit
Do a closet audit once a month. Be brave and get rid of things you don't wear anymore. And remember, clothes in good condition can be donated to charitable organizations.
