Preparing Your Garden Plot for the New Season: 7 Simple Steps
The new garden season is approaching, and it's time to think about preparing your plot for it. What should you pay attention to first and what updates won't hurt your countryside residence – we share useful tips and a simple action plan.
1. Cleaning
Gather large and small trash, branches, fallen leaves, and dry grass. Tidy up tools and check if you need to replenish your arsenal.

2. Taking Care of the Lawn, Trees and Shrubs
Take care of existing trees and shrubs on the plot: remove all damaged branches, thin dense canopies, shape them, and whitewash. Don't neglect the lawn either: it's time to comb it to remove remnants of dry grass and improve root aeration. Overseed the lawn in areas where patches have appeared, and don't forget about fertilizers and watering.

3. Flowers and Garden Beds
With the arrival of warmth, you can remove winter protection from perennial plants, exposing them to spring sunshine and fresh air. Get rid of weeds, loosen the soil, enrich it with fertilizers if necessary, and prepare everything needed for planting annual flowers and vegetable crops.

4. Landscape Design
With the arrival of spring, the soul always craves some renewal. Take a fresh look at your property: perhaps you'd like to make some changes in the landscape design? Even small changes can help refresh the appearance of your garden plot. If you've decided to make a major overhaul, it's better to start by creating a plan of upcoming work, taking into account all dimensions and existing plants and buildings.

5. Repair and Painting
Season start is the time to fix what's broken and repaint everything that has lost its appearance. Check if garden paths require repairs. If you have a greenhouse on the plot, restring the plastic film. Inspect fences and railings, garden shed, gazebo, and other structures.

6. Storage on the Plot
Have you not yet organized convenient storage for garden inventory on your garden plot? It's time to do this! Tidy up the garden shed, arrange and store everything so that you have easy access to each tool. If you don't have any auxiliary storage space for such purposes, it might be worth getting one.

7. Leisure Area
A garden plot is not only gardening and landscape maintenance but also relaxation in nature. Create a stylish and comfortable lounge area for evening gatherings with family and friends. Choose durable outdoor furniture and don't forget to provide a place for storing blankets and cushions.
