7 Unique Recipes for Safe Cleaning Products

1. Bathroom Cleaning Product Recipe.
Take half a cup of baking soda.
Stirring continuously, add liquid soap or dishwashing detergent until a creamy paste forms.
Optional: Add 5 drops of antibacterial essential oil such as lavender, tea tree, or rosemary.
Apply the paste to a sponge, clean the surface, then rinse off.

Note:
To keep the product moist, add 1 teaspoon of glycerin and seal the container tightly. Otherwise, prepare only enough to use in one session.

2. Window Cleaning Solution.
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of liquid soap or detergent; 3 tablespoons of vinegar; 2 cups of water.
Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle.

Note:
Adding soap is crucial—it removes trace wax residues left by commercial window cleaners. Without soap, windows may appear slightly cloudy.

3. Oven Cleaning Product.
1 cup of baking soda; water; 1–2 teaspoons of liquid soap.
Wet the oven floor with water, spread a layer of baking soda to fully cover the bottom surface. Re-wet with water so the mixture turns into a thick paste. Leave overnight. In the morning, grease will come off easily. After removing the bulk of grease, apply a small amount of liquid soap to a sponge and wipe away any remaining residue.
If the recipe doesn’t work, repeat but increase the amount of baking soda and/or water.

4. Universal Cleaner.
1/2 teaspoon of cleaning baking soda; a small amount of liquid soap; 2 cups of hot water.
Pour into a spray bottle and shake until the soda dissolves.
Use just like any other cleaning spray—spritz on surface and wipe with a cloth. Wear gloves when cleaning.

5. Furniture Polish.
1/2 teaspoon of olive oil or jojoba oil; 1/4 cup of vinegar or lemon juice; 10 drops of lemon essential oil (optional).
Mix ingredients in a glass bottle. Dampen a soft cloth with the solution and wipe furniture.
Shelf life: indefinite.

6. Universal Disinfectant.
Keep a spray bottle filled with 5% vinegar on your kitchen counter. Use it periodically to disinfect cutting boards, table surfaces, sponges, and more. No rinsing required—leaving it on overnight is fine. The strong vinegar smell will fade within a few hours.
Vinegar is also effective for cleaning toilet edges. Simply spray and wipe.

7. Mold-Fighting Solution.
2 teaspoons of tea tree essential oil; 2 cups of water.
Pour into a spray bottle, shake well, and spray on affected areas.

Note: To improve oil solubility, add a small amount of alcohol or vodka to the bottom of the spray bottle.
Shelf life: indefinite.
Since vinegar kills 82% of mold, it can also be used for this purpose.
Pour vinegar into a spray bottle and apply. The vinegar smell will disappear within a few hours.
