MUI NE, Vietnam (November 24, 2022) – The Anam Mui Ne, a resort with 127 elegant rooms and suites featuring exquisite design inspired by Vietnam's Indochinese era and an outstanding beachfront location, will mark its grand opening in January next year.

Located in the popular beach town of Mui Ne in southern Vietnam, this independently managed five-star resort is the second property in the Anam group. The Anam Mui Ne follows the successful opening of The Anam Cam Ranh in 2017, which was recognized as one of the best hotels in Asia in Condé Nast Traveler's Readers’ Choice Awards in 2020 and 2021.

With views of the pristine Mui Ne beach, the resort offers stunning vistas of the East Sea. The resort's restaurant landscape includes a full-service restaurant and bar The Indochine, a beachside restaurant and bar Lang Viet Restaurant and Bar, Saigon Bar in the lobby, and 24-hour room service. The resort will unveil its collection of luxury amenities on January 11, including a spa with five treatment rooms, two spacious pools—one freshwater and one saltwater—a balcony, conference halls, a water sports center, fitness center, yoga studio, kids' club, and a souvenir shop.

Like its predecessor, the design of The Anam Mui Ne reflects Vietnam's ancient Indochinese era. Architecture is inspired by majestic French villas of Hanoi. Creating a romantic atmosphere, elements such as illuminated lanterns, individually glazed mosaic tiles, large clay vases with water, statues on pedestals, imperial roofs, cornices, and exquisite woodwork were crafted by artisans throughout Vietnam whose crafts are passed down through generations. Before the endless pool and ocean, the lobby creates a striking first impression filled with grand piano and a sliding roof covered in glass panels where water quietly flows, casting soft shadows beneath.

127 classic rooms and suites at the resort range from 40 sq m to spacious 142 sq m across six accommodation categories. Seven suites of 142 sq m feature private pools. The Presidential Suite, at 122 sq m, is designed for privacy. Vietnamese artists were invited to create unique paintings for each room and suite, opening doors into the fascinating culture of the country. Clé de porte bathtubs and individually crafted furniture such as leather tables add a classical touch to the resort.

"We learned many valuable lessons about how to design, orientate and build a hotel with The Anam Cam Ranh; so much that every special detail of the first property was enhanced in The Anam Mui Ne, for example layout and guest flow," said founder and resort owner Pham Van Hien. "The intricate woodwork in our Lang Viet restaurant, made from forests sustainably grown for harvesting in Vietnam, is entirely handcrafted and took master artisans more than six months to complete. It's just one example of many handmade design elements present in our new resort."

"We expect The Anam Mui Ne to redefine the Mui Ne hotel scene," added group general manager Laurent Mitter. "There's nothing quite like it; an intimate, classic and authentic Vietnamese hotel with personalized service that isn't a mass-produced product created by multiple hotel chains in Vietnam."

The resort is opening with a ban on single-use plastic tableware and has implemented several measures to reduce its carbon footprint through solar energy and local ingredients. Its water treatment system provides drinking water in recycled glass bottles, while laundry water is reused for garden irrigation. Strips, bags and sanitary items are biodegradable. The resort’s eco-keys are also made from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests.

Famous for its beaches, sand dunes, fishing villages, Cham temples, and the 'Magic Stream'—a shallow river flowing through vibrant orange and white limestone formations—Mui Ne means "sheltered peninsula" in Vietnamese and has become a mecca for Southeast Asian windsurfers due to excellent weather and wind conditions. A high-speed road soon to open will cut travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to 2.5 hours. An international airport in Mui Ne is scheduled to open in 2025.
