We've been told many times: how you set up your bed is how you go to sleep! Behind this very moralizing saying, however, lies a very practical reality: the bed, this last cozy cocoon, can give us a solid night's sleep... provided it is well maintained, just like its other bedding accessories!

Care for the Mattress

A good foundation for a bed and mattress, matching our anatomy: this is the perfect combination for solid sleep and preventing back pain! For children who might forget themselves at night, a mattress protector is specially designed. Don't make the mistake! Sweating, accidental meals... many ways to ruin a mattress! That's why we use mattress covers daily. It doesn't hinder regular cleaning, especially if you are sensitive to dust mites. Start by sunning the mattress: ideally leave it out for 4-5 hours. Then vacuum and gently wash all surfaces of the mattress: both sides, as well as the side edges.

Bedding Cover Cleaning

Cosiness, softness and sleep in a duvet—everything at once! You could say we love it... except when cleaning time comes! Its main drawback? A duvet is bulky! Still, it must be washed, preferably with each seasonal change. If you've chosen a feather or down duvet, it must go to the dry cleaner. But if your duvet can be washed in a washing machine? Let's not rush! Check the specifications of your washer. When duvet dimensions exceed 200 x 200 cm, a machine with at least 7 kg capacity is needed. If not, better return to steaming! We also use duvet covers daily and change them every two weeks.

Washing Pillows

Do you regularly change your pillowcases? If that's important to you, know this isn't enough. Our pillows undergo serious stress: apart from sweat, we often... drool! It's not very pretty, admit it. But the fact remains that our pillows can quickly turn into a real bacterial nest. That's why we thoroughly clean them every two to three months. As with the duvet, the type of filling matters: feather and down, accordingly, should be sent to dry cleaning. For other types we refer to the label for ideal washing temperature—usually between 40°C and 60°C.
