In a corridor only partially connected to the entrance hall, furniture is rarely placed. In the worst case, a narrow tall console table is installed. However, such a piece of furniture is more of a decorative element than an essential one.

A console table placed in a corridor can serve as a storage unit for newspapers and magazines, household items, and decorative elements such as candles, vases, photo frames, and mirrors.

If there is no space for a console table in your small corridor, focus on the wall and floor design. The ceiling in a small room should ideally be white or covered with a mirror surface.

When it comes to wall design, start by choosing finishing materials: pastel tones and light, not overly bright colors — the best option. After preparing the base, you can proceed to decorate the surface with photographs, posters, wallpaper with optical patterns that expand the space and more.

In this case, the arrangement of a small corridor is complicated by the need to furnish it with essential interior items: a footstool, a shoe storage console, and a clothing hanger for outerwear and accessories.

If installing a compact built-in wardrobe that would easily accommodate all the above items is not possible, prefer suspended systems over floor-standing ones.

Space can be preserved by mounting several hooks on the wall instead of a floor-standing hanger, and storing home slippers and shoes in boxes built into the console or footstool.
