Scandinavian Style: White, Gray and Black
PinterestWe start the decorative week with an apartment of a young Scandinavian who loves design and dark neutral tones. Apart from furniture arrangement and decoration, the space is also very well thought out and optimized — one of our favorite things is the floor.
This is a wooden platform that imitates an aged solid wood floor, which in this case does a great job of adding depth and warmth to all spaces (the same floor runs throughout the house except for the bathroom), as well as blending with furniture elements.
This tone serves as an ideal base for gray and black colors, as well as all dark metallic accents or even a polished concrete kitchen countertop. It adds a certain industrial style without the coldness.
Another detail that caught our attention is the black frames. This element repeats throughout the house: windows, doors, wooden and metal ones. It stands out because it reduces the contrast with gray slightly.
If we were to decorate like this at home, we would have a churro. What we're saying about painting door and window frames: there are people and places that have their own style, which when copied doesn't always work out...
