Stunning Oak Kitchen with Island

We love open, spacious, wooden, minimalist kitchens with an island — new Nordic projects are becoming our favorites.

The layout and kitchen furniture we're showing you today is one of our favorites. We love when people eat at home, and an open configuration with a large counter/island allows for comfortable cooking while entertaining guests. Another advantage is direct access to the terrace, making it even more perfect for any season of the year.

The furniture is made from oiled smoked oak without decorative elements, only simple handles of the same material, leaving the leadership to the wood. The countertop is made from light beige quartz stone; these two materials create a beautiful and elegant combination.

Indeed, for this kitchen, we would add wall cladding in front of the two tall windows (if there wasn't a possibility to make a couple of large windows), patterned wallpaper could significantly differentiate the interior and make it more appealing.

If you look at the plan, next to the kitchen is a large pantry for additional storage (labeled 'guardian'), which allows avoiding upper cabinets throughout the kitchen and getting more space. It's a pity there are no photos of the pantry to give an idea of its appearance.

The house, with a total area of 194 m², is located in Sweden, and we don't need to be deceived by its appearance — very modest but modern and cozy interior.
