House Malu by Aguirre Arquitetura

House Malu is an impressive modern residence with approximately 4,500 square feet of luxurious living space. It is located in the Brazilian city of Uberlândia. The main focus of the design lies in landscape architecture, which is flawless. Developed by Aguirre Arquitetura studio, this house once again confirms their epic modern residential style we have already seen in our review of their Castro House project.

In this project, landscape design is the main protagonist. We placed the residential house on a single floor connected to two internal gardens, fulfilling the residents' desire to enjoy nature from inside the gated community. The design was developed with consideration for the needs of residents to enjoy nature within the secured neighborhood in Uberlândia-MG. House Malu is organized on a single floor and connected to two internal gardens, creating a strong bond between living spaces and landscape design. These gardens play a structuring role in the project, connecting with public areas to create a wide and smooth space.

The introduction of landscape design as the main character allowed for clear definition of zones between living and public spaces through functional programming, integrating with vegetation from the entrance to the living rooms, inviting users to enjoy foliage during their journey into the residential home.

The project used tropical species to create denser vegetation, as well as trees with canopies that cast shade and favor the microclimate of the location, making spaces more comfortable and cooler. The placement of gardens allowed for greater natural light and air circulation in public areas.

Built on a corner lot, its facades feature contrast between brick monoblock and horizontal roof planes. The use of brick combines with wooden panels and furniture, enhancing the coziness of this minimalist project.
