Treehouse Home in Tasmania Forests
Treehouse Home in Tasmania Forests
The project bureau Crump Architects created a treehouse home in the forests of Tasmania, Australia. The triangular structure was designed for two sons of the company's lead architect, who love spending time there with friends, enjoying the breathtaking surroundings.
The interior of the treehouse home is decorated using Baltic pine wood, with a log fireplace installed that creates the atmosphere of a cozy countryside cottage for nature retreats. The sloped roof at a 70-degree angle defines the shape of the building, reflects the slope of the site, and provides more usable space for children with a mansard included. The northeast facade is fully glazed, offering views and letting in sunlight, while the southern side features an additional large window with a reading and relaxation area.
The Crump Treehouse project can be designed for children, but its clean lines, sturdy and natural materials, and glass walls make it mature architecture that highlights the universal appeal of good design.
