Summer Kitchen in Industrial Style
Studio Atamanenko, Architecture and Interiors created a summer kitchen in the courtyard of a country house in Tula, Russia. A terrace was necessary between the kitchen and the house where the owner, a young and energetic businessman, could store sports equipment for workouts. Architects installed a fireplace with a two-sided stove and arranged a relaxation area on the terrace. To maintain architectural and interior unity, the same materials were used inside and outside: wood and metal to create a brutal industrial look.
The console roof overhang covers and protects the relaxation area from bad weather. Folding doors erase the boundary between indoor and outdoor zones.
