Complex of Holiday Cottages in Northern Italy
Complex of five standalone houses connected by a common foundation, designed as vacation accommodation by Bergmeisterwolf Architekten studio, located in Brixen — a town in the Bolzano province, Italy.
The houses face the street on one side and an inner courtyard on the other, forming this element both as external space and as a protected intimate area immersed in nature.
Traditional materials were chosen for construction — wood for facades and natural stone for the foundation. Sunshades cast constantly changing shadows into the rooms, influencing perception of time and space.
