Eco-hotel Manshausen in Norway
Manshausen is a separate world, a small island surrounded by picturesque nature in Norway. The architectural firm Stinessen Arkitektur realized the idea of tourist cabins distinguished by simplicity and comfort. Three separate guest buildings were erected on a stone quay, each oriented so as to provide guests with solitude and offer views of the Barents Sea. The main house, built in the 1800s and restored to meet new requirements, is located in the interior of the island. Today it includes a kitchen and dining room on the first floor, as well as a spacious library on the second. Rooms are equipped with storage space for clothing and sports gear, a bathroom, sleeping area, and a kitchen designed for two to five guests. The architects used wood as the primary construction and finishing material, complemented with panoramic glass. As a result, guests of Manshausen enjoy nature while remaining well-protected from the weather.
