Architects Ghiora Aharoni Design Studio from New York adorned the Manhattan apartment project with curved oak panels and silver sheets. Located in a historic building in Art Deco style, the residence belongs to a Beverly Hills resident who wanted his Chelsea temporary home to resemble a work of art. To visually expand the single-room apartment, architects removed walls and opened up space, using furniture pieces custom-made as dividing elements. Oak panels were applied to the floor and lower parts of the walls, while the upper half was tiled with silver sheets. The apartment has almost no sharp angles, and all lighting is recessed. The central unit with storage system and electric fireplace separates the living room and dining area from the bedroom. A bathroom with shimmering tile was designed behind a frosted glass door.
