House on an open plot near the mountains
The studio Abramson Teiger Architects designed a house in the state of Wyoming, USA. Built from glass, concrete, and steel, the structure is a low composition made up of several volumes. The single-story building covers an area of 650 square meters and is located on an open plot with a separate garage built nearby. The architect's main goal was to elegantly connect the modern residence with the surrounding natural landscape, as well as use durable materials for construction.
The only significant deviation from the terrain occurs in the construction of the garage in a depression, which was complemented with a green roof, reconnecting architecture and landscape. Inside the house, polished concrete floors give the interior a modern look, wooden panels create a warm atmosphere, and panoramic windows framed in black metal provide a breathtaking view of the mountains. The residence includes a spacious bedroom, several small guest rooms, an open-plan kitchen, a living room, and a dining room. Considering the proximity to ski slopes, designers created an inventory storage room with built-in boot dryers. Attention to detail combined with a clear house structure created a harmonious union of functionality and decor.
