Tropical Villa in Brazil32 photos
Talented architects Studio MK27 presented another project executed in their already recognizable signature style. The White House villa, covering 492 square meters, is located in the municipality of San Sebastián, Brazil. The two fundamental principles upon which the project was based were living comfort and ease of long-term home maintenance. The residence is situated next to the sea in a tropical area with high temperatures and humidity. Therefore, material selection and house layout were obvious from the beginning. Panoramic windows, open spaces filled with light and air, blur the boundaries between interior and exterior. The villa exudes an atmosphere of tranquility, relaxation, and harmony. The first floor features a daytime zone with rooms opening to the garden and terrace by the pool. Above are the bedrooms, while a garden and relaxation area are designed on the roof. Architects opted for natural materials, blending wood, concrete, and white aluminum that resists seawater exposure. The result is a sort of tropical minimalism combined with Brazilian modernism.
