Mediterranean Style Villa in Israel
The LA House project was realized by architects Eran Binderman and Rama Dotan in Israel. The residence, spanning 950 square meters, features a main level and a basement. The client's primary requirement was the feeling of freedom and spaciousness alongside modesty and comfort. The architects designed three wings closely connected to the garden. Common areas are open, the sleeping block is more private, and the third wing is dedicated to functional service rooms. There is no foyer or main entrance in the house. Handmade metal gates invite guests onto the residence grounds through an olive grove, a Mediterranean garden, bypassing a fish pond and pool. Natural light floods every corner of the house, while the surrounding nature becomes an inseparable part of it, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior.
The living room occupies a central place in the house and is used for relaxation with family and friends. The library is part of this area, resembling a pavilion in the garden with panoramic glazing. Adjacent to it is the kitchen, which serves as the family's favorite spot. Children's rooms are designed as playful spaces and also open to the garden where kids can safely spend their free time. This part of the house is always lively and cheerful. The parents' bedroom, in contrast, forms a monochrome island of tranquility and silence. The basement continues to surprise, as it's perfect for hosting parties and celebrations—a subterranean world contrasting the calm Mediterranean ambiance of the main part of the villa.
