Interior of a Penthouse in Moscow by Architect Mario Matzera
Architect Mario Matzera designed the interior of a penthouse located on Sparrow Hills in Moscow. The owners of this luxurious residence with a panoramic view wanted something similar to a country house. A garden on the terrace, warm interior colors, and no issues with daily trips to the city made their dream come true. The construction teams for the project were specially invited from Italy and Portugal, and most of the penthouse elements were made to order. For example, the architect had to relocate several load-bearing columns, rebuild the terrace, update the windows, and install a separate pumping station for the residence.
In the decor, we see a wine cabinet between the living room and kitchen, a table with a height-adjustable countertop, a marble bathtub, and a biofuel fireplace, all created according to individual plans and a source of pride for the owners. The interior turned out warm thanks to the use of stone, American walnut, black wood, and leather, as well as the absence of large amounts of glass, metal, or synthetic materials, as requested by the clients. A full relaxation area with a garden was created on the penthouse terrace, where trees and plants are planted in specially designed heated planters.
