Decorative Trends That Will Dominate in 2023 According to Interior Designers
Before you realize it, 2023 is already here — a year we already know what it will bring (at least in terms of decor). We spoke with three interior designers to find out which trends they predict for the coming months. What style will we feel as preferred? Which colors or materials will be loved most? Which designs will conquer decoration?
EARTH TONES WILL BE THE TREND IN 2023
PinterestOne of the most obvious trends. In 2023, a range of earth tones (from beige to brown, through ceramic and copper) will become the preferred palette for decorating our homes. Brown, smoke, milk, chestnut, coffee, mint, paprika, cognac, caldera. These are tones that inspire warmth and authenticity. To create contrast, we'll add Klein blue shades.
TEXTILE TAKES THE FRONT ROW
PinterestThe trend toward recreating calm and peaceful spaces has prompted us to decorate rooms with soft neutral fabrics. It seems a change is happening (though very subtle). Alongside smooth textiles, we will gradually see a return to patterns — in curtains and cushions alike. Living rooms and bedrooms will be transformed by textiles that add complexity through textures, patterns, colors, and pleats.
What kinds of patterns will we see most often? From geometric designs to floral motifs that bring life and a sense of closeness to nature — exactly what we need today.
