BWT Showroom by DHB Design in Chengdu, China
Located on the second floor of Hall 2 at Fushen Shopping Center in Chengdu, China, this store has a distinctive and recognizable presence. The renovation is focused on creating an entirely new user experience.
Brand History
BWT's roots trace back 200 years to the beautiful city of Siegen, Germany. As an abbreviation for 'best', 'water', and 'technology,' BWT clearly expresses its mission and ambitions in water purification. Over 200 years of development, BWT has dedicated itself to human well-being. With full passion and energy, BWT continues to set challenges in the broader and more complex field of water purification to ensure healthy water and improve quality of life for people around the world.
Water Philosophy in East and West
According to Eastern and Western beliefs, water is the source of all in the world.
The Greek philosopher Thales defined that 'water is the primary substance of all things.' Water is spiritual, permeating everything in the universe. Therefore, he believed that 'all is full of gods, and God is reason which formed and created everything from water; it is through the primary water that movement of the universe is governed by divine force.'
The flexibility and rhythm of water are integrated into space, conveying the idea that everything originates from water and ultimately returns to it.
In ancient Chinese philosophy, water is also a significant element. Laozi wrote in the 'Tao Te Ching': 'Highest good is like water. It benefits all things without competing. Water prefers places that people consider undesirable, thus following the divine law.'
Inspired by water's philosophy, spirituality and its nature to benefit all things, elements are drawn to create various spatial functions and visual perceptions, presenting highly creative and excellent scenes.
Water can purify everything. Blue and white colors are used as the main tones of the space, where blue water patterns make the modern environment soft and flexible.
BWT Water Purification Philosophy
Water is the source of life, a limited resource. BWT aims for sustainable water resources and possesses advanced experience, innovative production technologies, and high-quality products.
Inspired by the unique patented magnesium ion technology of BWT, the exhibition object has a capsule form surrounded by black ring surfaces. When viewed as a whole, the black color naturally disappears and the viewer's gaze focuses on the capsule, becoming the visual center of the space.
Multi-mirror elements allow customers to explore the space from various perspectives. The use of light strips creates a sense of modern technology and guides the visitor's gaze. Additionally, water partitions separate functional zones, adding spirituality and life to the entire space.
Design Concepts
Things appear in various forms in different states. The polymorphism of water gives space more opportunities for creativity. During the creation process, extracting design elements and expressing materials directly influence the completion of space. Therefore, the challenge proposed by nature is to integrate natural products in the creative process.
