How to Decorate a Kitchen in Modern Classical Style with Art Deco Elements
The combination of bold color and golden accents created an expressive and cozy interior
A kitchen is always the heart of an apartment, especially when it's combined with a living room and dining area. In Galina Sokolova's project for the Homecity residential complex, a spacious layout became the true center of attraction. The designer managed to combine classical symmetry, modern materials, and Art Deco elements while maintaining practicality — an important factor for homeowners living with two cats.

The kitchen cabinet fronts are made in a rich blue tone and enhanced with neat golden inserts. This is not just a decorative technique — thanks to the contrast, the kitchen appears textured and dynamic. The cabinet was custom-made according to the designer's plans, which allowed all client wishes to be taken into account.
By Galina Sokolova Storage is organized as efficiently as possible: the built-in refrigerator and freezer are hidden behind cabinet doors, while a compact dishwasher (45 cm) fits seamlessly into the same row. Some upper cabinets were replaced with open shelves for placing dishes, books and decorative items — this solution lightens the overall structure.

The backsplash and work area are enhanced with decorative plaster and moisture-resistant tiles that are easy to clean. The choice of materials is especially important in a home with pets: the surfaces are durable and resistant to accidental scratches.
By Galina Sokolova Special attention deserves the dining area. A wooden table with a striking texture, combined with soft chairs on elegant legs, creates a warm atmosphere. An accent golden range hood complements the ensemble.
By Galina Sokolova The kitchen turned out to be both beautiful and functional. Here you can cook comfortably, gather guests around a large table, and enjoy the beauty of the atmosphere.
