House Face: How They Decorated a 2 m² Mini Entryway with Mediterranean Atmosphere
Here, practicality, vacation mood and atmosphere of old hotels are combined
This timber frame house with a total area of just 24 square meters was built specially for the homeowner's mother. It is located on the same cottage plot as the family's main house and is designed for summer living.
The designer Irina Sobylenko's task was not only to fit everything into a small space, but also to create an environment filled with memories, comfort and aesthetics.

The entryway in the project turned out to be highly atmospheric — it immediately sets the tone for the interior. Vertical stripes were used in the design, evoking the interiors of old Mediterranean hotels.
Design: Irina SobylenскаяTo avoid a flat appearance, a cabinet with slatted doors in a rich blue color was added — it not only stores clothes and shoes, but also serves as the main color accent.
Design: Irina SobylenскаяA sideboard under the mirror is provided for storing daily essentials, decorated with an ornate frame. Next to it — a comfortable footstool and an open coat rack decorated with exotic birds. All elements were chosen so that it's convenient to change shoes, leave a bag and enjoy the atmosphere in such a small space.

Above the entrance area, an open shelf with woven baskets is installed where seasonal items or garden supplies can be stored. The ceiling is painted in a light blue shade, supporting the theme of sky and air.
Monochrome floor tiles with a classic pattern complete the look and give the entryway its individuality.
