5 Small but Very Beautiful Bathrooms
The freshest and coolest ideas for bathroom decoration — all in one collection
A bathroom is more than just a functional space. Besides functionality, we want to see aesthetics and comfort in it so that taking care of ourselves and relaxing is as comfortable as possible. How to create such an atmosphere even in a small area — we show through examples of implemented projects.
Effective bathroom with gold accents
Designer Anastasia Korol created an effective interior in her three-room apartment. The love of the owners for monochrome is visible throughout the space, including in the bathroom. They used a black-and-white palette and added gold accents. The accent tiles were chosen in small format with an uneven surface — they resemble handcrafted ceramics and add coziness.

The interior's graphic style was achieved using a black ceiling cornice and ceramic border elements. Note that the thin ceramic border was also used instead of a floor cornice.

This bathroom in a small studio resembles more of a living 'boxroom'. This effect was achieved through non-standard bathroom finishing: the walls were covered with tiles, paint and wallpaper, while the ceiling and hidden door were painted in a saturated green color. By the way, to make the wallpapers last longer, they were coated with a special protective lacquer.

It is built into the niche, clad with marble-like tiles and complemented by glass doors with black hardware. A narrow vanity unit was paired with a sink with an elongated countertop, under which the washing machine fit perfectly.

In the bathroom, they continued to maintain a romantic mood of the entire interior of this studio. To do so, they combined light and pink tiles, and made one wall in the bathroom area an accent by cladding it with patterned tiles. Retro plumbing in a bronze tone helped emphasize the aesthetic of the interior.

The vanity unit with a countertop made of artificial stone allowed for an inset sink and space to store decor and various items. Above the vanity, a large cabinet with mirror doors was mounted, which visually dissolves into space and enhances lighting in the room. The cabinet features hinged doors and two narrow inserts where two wall lights were mounted.

The budget and time for transforming this Khrushchyovka were limited, but the designer managed to create a stylish and cozy space, including in the bathroom. The bathroom is shared; due to the corridor, it was slightly enlarged to accommodate a separate laundry area with washing and drying machines.

Tiles were used in wet areas, while other walls were painted. The mixer and shower system are built-in — they look clean and don't visually overload the small space. A mirror with backlighting adds to the comfort, accentuating the relief of the tiles.

The bathroom in this two-room flat was fully clad in tiles of different formats: on the walls, bright ones in large format and coarse-grained ones resembling stone, and on the floor — geometric patterns. The overall style was complemented with vibrant accents in furniture and decor. For this, they chose a bright wall-mounted vanity unit with carved fronts and an unusual vintage mirror in a carved frame.
