6 Unusual Storage Places in a Standard Apartment
Clever ideas and tips for using every centimeter efficiently
This euro-flat was designed by interior designers Daria Yanguzina and Polina Dolgopolova for a young family with a child. Special attention was paid not only to beautiful design solutions but also to practical aspects. Let's see how they solved the storage issue — we've collected cool ideas from this project.
AtticsUpper cabinets were divided into two levels, which created attics for storing rarely used items and dishes. With them, the room looks neat and uncluttered — all necessary items are securely hidden behind cabinet doors.
Functional ApronTo make the most of available space, the kitchen was made deeper than standard. This allowed creating a functional apron where all necessary items are stored: from grains to spices. Everything needed should be within reach but not necessarily visible at all times.
Wardrobe ColumnThe refrigerator column was designed so that there's room for beautiful dishes and small household appliances. It was placed between two adjacent windows and complemented with attractive internal lighting. The vertical structure allows maximum efficient use of wall height, leaving more free space for movement.
Around the BedThe bedroom, as a place of rest, requires a special approach. A multi-functional storage system was designed around the bed. This allows maximizing space and creating additional storage areas. Bedside tables hidden in niches help maintain order, look stylish and neat.
Along the WindowThe countertop was extended onto the windowsill, which increased the working area and freed up more space for other purposes. Sliding drawers provide extra storage space for personal items.
Built-in CabinetEven a small bathroom can hold everything needed if every corner is used efficiently. In this bathroom, a cabinet was built into the niche for storing household chemicals and decorated with venetian blinds. Thanks to this solution, the room does not look overloaded.

Thus, through thoughtful planning of each room and smart storage, a space was created where every detail matters and contributes to high-quality living.
