Storage in Compact Living: 7 Worthwhile Ideas

This vibrant two-room apartment was arranged by designer Lili Kaisarova from the studio Sloyarch for a young woman. In just 38 square meters, plenty of storage spaces were planned while avoiding cluttering the interior with unnecessary items. Loft Sections

The small kitchen area was maximized by choosing a cabinet with loft storage units. These provide much more storage space. Additionally, the lofts visually elongate the space vertically and give the interior a sense of completion.

Display Cabinet

A glass-door cabinet was installed at the side of the kitchen unit for storing beautiful dishes. It adds airiness to the space and lightens the heavy monolithic structure.

Shelving Between Windows

The space between windows was transformed into a functional zone using tall shelving. It can be used for books, souvenirs, collectibles, and more. The shelving also visually divides the living room and dining area.

Storage Around TV

Another convenient solution that makes full use of every square centimeter is open shelving around the TV. The client had many books, and the shelves solved their storage needs.

Wall-Mounted Cabinet

A wall-mounted TV cabinet made the compact bedroom’s interior neater. It helped save space and organize storage in an elegant way.

Cabinet in Niche

The main storage area in the apartment is a built-in cabinet in the hallway niche. The minimalist light-colored fronts helped dissolve the bulky structure into the space.

Functional Shelves

Besides the closed storage system in the bathroom, open shelves were added by the sink. They provide quick access to items, look neat and stylish.
