House from Scratch in 30 Days: All Details of the Second Construction Phase
Bonus: A story about modular home production and tips from experts
We continue to follow the construction of a modular home for the winner of the Avito competition built in just 30 days. Last time we told you how to find the perfect plot, lay the foundation, drill a well, and install a septic tank.
The second phase is manufacturing the modular home and its installation. We share secrets and tell you what to pay attention to when choosing a frame house.
About Production
For our fast-build home, planed boards of chamber-dried timber are used — in special chambers, they are dried to the required moisture level. The next step is calibration on a machine to the necessary dimensions, followed by end cutting with a circular saw.
At the production site, you can see pink boards — this is a good sign indicating that the material has been treated with fire-retardant composition with pigment. This makes it easy to verify that no section of the board has been missed.

If you also want to install a modular home on your plot, ready-made options are easy to find on Avito. Do you dream of building country housing yourself? The catalog includes everything you need — from cement to fasteners. With the filter "4 stars and above," you can be confident in the reliability of the seller. We also recommend reviewing real customer reviews and forming an opinion about the trustworthiness of the chosen seller. For greater convenience, you can sort products by location.
About Assembly and Insulation
Our modular home consists of panels: it is placed on a platform made from timber, raised on screw jacks. A solid base guarantees that nothing will shift during construction.
The foundation of the house uses moisture-resistant plywood 9 mm, treated with special resin, protective mesh against rodents, wind and water barrier film, insulation, vapor barrier, and a rough floor — this set ensures warmth throughout the year.

About Installation
The crew assembles two modules directly on the site: afterward, they need to connect them all around and insulate. Windows and doors (thermal contour) arrive separately — these are fragile materials that can get damaged during module transport.
