How to Turn a Typical Two-Room Apartment into a 'Candy'
Sharing ideas based on an implemented project
We've already told you about this cozy two-room apartment of 53 square meters, designed by designer Lyudmila Danilovich. The owners wanted to create an interesting space without resorting to a renovation. Here's how we managed to achieve that.
Printed wallpapers
We used wallpapers only for accents. For the kitchen, we had to order and print special wallpaper since it was discontinued and the designer couldn't find a suitable replacement. You can do exactly the same to add a unique touch to your interior.

Added a canopy to the bed
The designer selected a pink upholstered bed. Nothing unusual about that, but to make it stand out, she added a canopy frame — giving the impression of staying in an expensive hotel. Soft textiles completed the look and added comfort to the interior.

Painted wardrobes to match the walls
All wardrobes were painted in wall color: this helped avoid a feeling of overcrowding and made the interior look more unified and harmonious.

Rejected white ceiling
The designer suggested an interesting idea — to apply patterned wallpaper on the ceiling. This helped draw attention away from the low ceiling height and gave a touch of exoticism to the interior.

Added mosaic to the bathroom
Mosaic in interior design adds luxury and style. In this bathroom, it also makes the space brighter and more inviting compared to dark ceramic tile. Plus, you can save money by using mosaic only on one wall.

Painted the entrance hall in pink
A pink hallway is an unconventional choice for a family apartment. But it clearly shows that this place doesn't like clichés.
