Black color in the bathroom? Why not — we've gathered nine examples, and all of them look very beautiful.

True, before implementing such solutions, keep in mind — on black tiles, water droplets and lime scale are very noticeable. To keep a black bathroom neat, cleaning needs to be done much more frequently.

Bathroom with Budget Renovation

Looking at this stylish bathroom, it's hard to believe that during the renovation, almost everything was saved on to stay within a limited budget. Materials were bought at construction markets, and furniture — in mass retail.

All essentials fit into the bathroom: a shower platform, sink and mirror, washing machine, toilet, and a hygiene shower with a water heater — it was cleverly hidden behind doors along with the manifold unit.

Bathroom with Sauna

The interior of the household bathroom is very interesting: the client wanted the toilet and bidet to be hidden from outsiders using partitions and a semi-transparent door.

"The layout and size of the bathroom allowed us to do this, so we elegantly separated the intimate zone. We also decided to support this division into two zones with contrasting black and white colors," — the project author explains.

It was also possible to integrate a sauna designed by the designers themselves: bricks made from Himalayan salt and metal corners and door frames painted black.

Graphic Bathroom

In this bathroom, designer Anastasia Ufimtseva implemented very interesting design ideas.

A graphic, combined tile layout adds color and gives a sense of naturalness, while the "grill" ceiling made of small black cells complements the original design concept and emphasizes the loft theme in the rest of the apartment's interior.

Marmoreal Bathroom

Black glossy large-format ceramic tile with a marble texture and contrasting white veins — the first thing that catches the eye in the bathroom.

The high door is double-sided and painted black on the bathroom side. On the hallway side, the bathroom door is finished with veneer. Veneer appears in the bathroom in the cabinet fronts under the sink and in storage above the installation.

Initially, black countertops and black appliances were planned for the project, but during implementation, clients decided to change the countertop and washing machine colors to white for easier cleaning.

Bathroom with Laminate

In this bathroom, attention should be paid to the use of laminate: thin ceramic tile made from clay, quartz sand, and pigment using pressing.

The entrance to the bathroom is from the hallway, so the same color palette continues here as in the overall apartment space: warm wood tones on a gray background with black accents. Black became the accent.

Bathroom with Loft Elements

Irina Shevchenko needed to create a beautiful and memorable interior while staying within a small budget.

The bathroom was decorated in a classic style with loft elements — the ceiling remained concrete, as in the whole apartment, wide black moldings were placed along the perimeter, walls had plastered concrete and wooden panels also painted black.

Brutal Bathroom

The owner of this bathroom is a young unmarried man, a devoted minimalist who loves clean simplicity.

"The bathroom turned out very graphic and brutal. I didn't suggest a separate-standing shower cabin, as it was much more interesting to create the effect of a large open shower. The shower area was decorated in black color. It wasn't possible to lay the entire floor of the shower with ceramic tile — treads were forbidden in the residential complex. So we selected a black textured tray that looks like stone," — the designer explains.

"To stay in line with the overall bathroom concept, we divided the ceiling into black and white zones, which is technically more complex than making a single-color ceiling throughout the room. We also selected lights by color for each zone."

Eclectic Bathroom

Ceramic tile with a travertine texture and a wide ceiling cornice framing the concrete ceiling were used in this bathroom's finish. On it are minimalist black cube lights.

The furniture and mirror are volumetric and classic in form, but painted black for contrast — it looks very stylish.
