How to Turn a Tiny Apartment into Comfortable Living Space: 5 Cool Tips
Tips from our heroes who managed to transform small apartments into convenient and multifunctional living spaces. Check it out!
Designer Dasha Dubkova with her husband in their 23-square-meter studio accommodated a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and still had space for an office and wardrobe. Such results were achieved thanks to multifunctional technology.
For example, they saved space on the kitchen by installing a combined oven-dishwasher. In the bathroom, the washing machine also serves as a dryer. This way, collapsible laundry dryers don’t occupy precious square meters.

Uniform color and design of all furniture facades in Dasha's apartment form a single background, which dissolves spatial boundaries and makes the space look larger. As a result, the apartment visually appears bigger.
By the way, Dasha also thought about insurance during renovation: in her apartment, a partition in the shower was poorly installed and leaked. Of course, all the hassle is now behind her, but the girl still bought a policy from SberInsurance.
"It protects against all possible misfortunes: fires, floods and most importantly — from liability to neighbors," Dasha shares. "The main thing is that you don't need to go anywhere — you can buy the policy in the SberBank Online app or on sberbankins.ru. It's convenient and fast!"

The kitchen cabinet base is a decorative strip that hides the gap between the floor and the lower part of the kitchen cabinet. This gap is usually empty, but Dasha made it work. It's the perfect place to hide baking forms, rolling pins, trays, and everything else that usually doesn't fit on the kitchen counter.

Using mirror surfaces to expand space is not a new idea. However, it's expensive to hang such a large mirror and requires professional installation. Anna and Eugene saved money by replacing a thick, heavy mirror with thin mirror tiles that they themselves mounted using liquid construction nails.
As a result, they have a full-height mirror mural (about five meters!) in the bathroom instead of a regular mirror and on the door in the hallway.

The young couple chose their living space carefully: important were not only the house itself and a beautiful view from the window, but also a large courtyard area to walk their dog. The DomKlik service from Sber was very helpful in searching and purchasing.
"Our budget for buying an apartment was limited, and we didn't want to spend a large sum on a realtor," Anna shares. "DomKlik turned out to be a real find: we remotely solved all property-related issues from finding the right apartment and its legal check to completing the deal and registering ownership. The bank manager helps with paperwork, all transactions are conducted in cashless form, and most importantly — safely. We didn’t expect it to be so convenient and fast."
Loft Floor
When there's no width, use the height of the space. In a 33-square-meter studio with high ceilings, they set up sleeping quarters on a loft floor. Besides saving space, this also clearly separates the social zone with the kitchen-living room and the personal area on the loft floor.
