How Designers Decorate Bedrooms for Themselves: 5 Great Examples
Small and large, dark and light, minimalist and classic — we've collected the most interesting bedrooms of professionals
Projects come and go, but it's always interesting to see how designers decorate interiors for themselves. We've selected five bedrooms in different styles and budgets — let's take a look!
Airy Bedroom in Chelyabinsk
Although details and accents were added later, the convenience and logic of this small apartment still delight us and our husband!
For designer Julia Fambulova, minimalism is above all, so she didn't clutter her apartment with furniture. Especially in the bedroom — there's only the essentials here: a bed on a visually light metal frame, Austrian chairs that serve as bedside tables, a shelf in the niche, and a small desk by the window.
Julia's favorite color is gray, and it became the main one. It served as a neutral base for vivid, rich decor and modern artists' paintings.

Blue Bedroom of an Architect
The bedroom of architect Elena Tambiyeva is located in a pre-revolutionary income house. For the walls, they chose muted blue paint, and on the floor, they laid oak parquet.
The headboard of the bed, as well as the textile in dark tones matching the wall color. Against this backdrop, accents stand out: numerous brass details and a bright yellow sofa on the attached balcony.

Bedroom with a Splendid View
Working on the layout, I was inspired by the TV series "Friends", particularly Monica's apartment.
Designer Valeria Moskaleva made a bet on a neutral minimalist interior that doesn't look boring: the walls of the bedroom are covered with a coating technology invented by builders themselves — a mix of several mixes. It's easy to change the color and keep the texture if needed. The floor is ceramic granite with a warm floor function.
The built-in wardrobe is very convenient: it has drawers and a built-in mirror. A magnificent view of the city opens from the corner window, and Valeria plans to create a cozy zone here.

Bedroom in a Compact Apartment
Designer David Aksenov's apartment is small, only 33 square meters, so in the bedroom, he wanted to create a calm modern interior and an illusion of space. The walls were painted gray, a carpet was laid on the floor, and minimal decoration was used.
Furniture was chosen modern but budget-friendly: some items were bought at a discount, others were made by hand — for example, a bed canopy was assembled from artificial plants from IKEA.

Bedroom with Budget Solutions
The main task for designer Tatiana Ivanova was to design a budget-friendly yet attractive apartment with bright accents. In the end, the designer found affordable solutions in finishing and customized IKEA furniture.
Tatiana chose budget laminate flooring, and for the walls — paint. Only the wall behind the headboard of the bed was decorated with wallpaper, which became the main decorative element in this room.
