Apartment on a Roof, Which You'll Definitely Want to Save on Pinterest
This apartment occupies the entire attic floor of a house in the center of Stockholm. It features 22 windows, two balconies, and a simple and cost-effective Scandinavian interior that's easy to replicate.
This 150 square meter three-bedroom apartment includes three separate bedrooms, a combined living room and kitchen so large that you'll need to look twice to see where it begins and ends, two bathrooms, and two luxurious balconies with a view of the city.

The layout of the apartment is not straightforward. Like all attics, it has many slanted walls, but designers solved this issue using modular furniture and thoughtful zoning. For example, bedrooms were placed in areas with low roof angles. In such rooms, low ceilings don't hinder movement like they do in the living room or kitchen.

The living room (also the kitchen) is the largest space in the apartment. There's enough room here for a proper relaxation area with a home library and even a grand piano. Just look at how beautifully the black piano looks against a white background.

On the kitchen and in the living room, all furniture is placed where the ceiling slants for convenience, leaving space under the highest part of the ceiling. Designers also used furniture with slanted sides (bookcase and kitchen cabinet) and transforming furniture, where a bench doubles as a chest of drawers. The dining table occupies the ideal spot—opposite the terrace with a view of Stockholm rooftops.

All storage systems in the rooms are enclosed. Particularly successful is the built-in wardrobe in a niche. In the children's room, designers chose to highlight one wall with a child-friendly print. To keep proportions balanced, the slanted walls were kept light, and wallpaper was applied to a straight wall.

The bathrooms in the apartment are primarily practical. Because they have windows, designers mainly chose suspended and built-in cabinets and washbasins with glossy surfaces for better light diffusion.
