What the Hotel in Norway Looks Like with Rooms for 50,000 per Night
Boutique hotel Storfjord Hotel consists of a complex of traditional Norwegian cabins. These wonderful cottages are scattered along the coast of Norway in the village of Gloset. A night in such a cabin with a private terrace and panoramic view costs 50,000 rubles. The journey from Oslo to the village of fjords by car takes about six hours, but there are shorter routes — by ferry and helicopter.

The cabins of the complex are hand-assembled wooden cottages in traditional Norwegian "loft" style, or more commonly known as "lafet." This term refers to a log that has a flat surface on one side (inside the house) and a convex shape on the other (outside the house). The roofs of the cabins are covered with real grass, making the hotel blend seamlessly into the landscape.

The main concept of the hotel is to make the stay comfortable and cozy, like at home. This is reflected in the interiors as well. The layout of the cabins is open-plan — kitchen and living room are combined. This space brings people closer together.

Various antique interior items support the Scandinavian spirit: coffee tables made from old chests, traditional Norwegian fur throws, and authentic woven baskets that look like they’re meant for gathering berries in the forest.

Each living room, and sometimes even bedrooms, features real wood-burning fireplaces. The warmth is enhanced by aromatic logs for kindling and traditional textiles: carpets, throws, and famous checkered curtains.

Bedrooms are warm, home-like spaces with dark wood finishes. You can sleep all day here! But it's a pity — you’d rather admire the peaceful view from the panoramic windows without ever looking away.

Bathrooms in the house are very minimalist. But this is only at first glance: there are many details, but they don’t distract from the relaxation.

The highlight of the hotel is the terraces attached to each cabin. From there, you get a breathtaking view of snow-capped peaks, and the peace and fresh air make your head spin.
