In this 2-room apartment in the center of Stockholm, freedom and air reign, and square meters here are for yourself rather than for another unnecessary side table. We tell you what else makes a New York-style interior unique

This 64 square meter two-room apartment with 4.2-meter high ceilings brings together many elements of New York interior design. Spacious panoramic windows, an open layout, and "clever" furniture where the bed is also a sofa and a dresser.

The apartment's layout is based on a free and open space without walls or partitions. The living room and kitchen are combined. Furniture is concentrated in the center of the room, rather than along the walls as usual.

Another feature of the living room-kitchen interior is eclecticism. A black classic cabinet and a wooden dining table are located next to a velvet sofa, a Moroccan pouf, and colorful textiles. Against the backdrop of calm walls and daylight from panoramic windows (5 in the living room!), everything looks harmonious.

The apartment has two staircases. One is hidden behind the kitchen cabinet and is more of a necessity than a decorative element, given such high ceilings. The second leads to a 11 square meter second floor that can transform into a space for quiet evenings or loud parties.

The bedroom has minimal extras: a high double bed and two nightstands. This minimalism does not take up square meters, and the high ceilings and freedom are especially felt here.

The bathroom is minimalist: no shelves or cabinets. Instead, there's plenty of space for a shower corner.

The hallway, though small, is convenient. To the right of the door are a large cabinet in the same style as the kitchen cabinet and a coat rack. A bit further is an antique dresser, and above it is an indispensable detail of a New York apartment – a round mirror.
