How to Use Transformable Furniture in Interior Design: 7 Examples
We have selected seven apartments, each with its own "trick". Even on a 22 sq. m area, it is possible to arrange a full bedroom, living room, and dining room. Take these ideas down for later!
Studio with Kitchen in a Cabinet
This studio is only 33 square meters, and finding space for a full kitchen was not easy. Architect Ali Reza Nemati found a solution: he hid the kitchen block behind sliding doors of a cabinet. All furniture and appliances were custom-made, even designing a compact range hood using 3D printing technology and metal forming.

One-bedroom Apartment with Office-Dining Room
Designer Ira Nosova came up with a way to turn a mini dining room into an office. The dining table transforms into a workspace: behind the lifting furniture shutters, there's a mini office with a computer, printer, and shelves. Studio with Bed in a Cabinet and Foldable Dining Table
The studio's area is 22 square meters, so designer Inessa Ternovaya had to find functional solutions. The space for a full-size bed was found immediately once it was decided to hide it in a cabinet. The dining table folds into a plain wooden square when needed.

Studio with TV in a Cabinet
Since this apartment has only one room, designer Roman Plusnin had to plan for sleeping space that hides in a cabinet, a dining area, and a living room. A TV was built into one of the cabinets that can be slid aside to watch movies not only from the sofa but also from the bed.

Two-bedroom Apartment with Dining Room-Living Room
At first glance, there seems to be no room for guests in this apartment: the bar counter fits only two people. However, designers at Bureau 'Common Area' planned every detail carefully: part of the countertop can be raised onto the living room area to organize a five-person dinner. At the same time, the straight sofa transforms into an angular one.

One-bedroom Apartment with Home Cinema
See how designer Evgenia Ermolaeva hid a mini bedroom with a full-size bed behind a hanging barn door of a cabinet. In its closed state, the structure becomes a home cinema with a projector.

Two-bedroom Apartment with Hidden Bed
In designer Maria Puzanova's project, the bed is also hidden, but not in a cabinet, rather built into the wall. It was decorated with a fresco to avoid drawing attention to the structure. For convenience, a reading lamp, regular outlets, and USB ports were built into the bed frame for charging gadgets.
