How to Make Design Project Work Convenient and Avoid Extra Costs

Working with a professional, we found out how to optimize project work, save time for clients, and shorten the process of selecting materials, colors, and finishing supplies.

How it usually happens: the project is in full swing, you need to solve questions with workers, and one of the suppliers delays material delivery to the site. And there's also furniture ordered from a catalog abroad that has run out. You have to meet with clients again, negotiate once more with workers, find a replacement in the catalog, align everyone by time and place… Sounds familiar?

However, we have good news. Together with architect Ekaterina Gurkova-Shvarts, we visited the new Premio trade gallery and confirmed that most of these old problems are now in the past. We'll tell you more details.

Ekaterina Gurkova-Shvarts, Interior Architect. Usually, selecting materials, textures, colors, and accessories for interior design becomes a long process. Finding and choosing is not enough. Clients need to see and touch the finishes of their future home with their own eyes.

Where once was one of the first building material markets in the city, now stands a multi-story shopping complex “Kashirsky Dvor.” The location is at the intersection of Kashirskoye Shosse and Kolomenskiy Proezd: easy to reach, convenient parking.

On the first floor in the atrium — a small café with delicious coffee and fresh pastries. While clients are on their way, you can enjoy an extra breakfast.

On the second floor — a convenient free co-working space Premio.Design with everything needed for business meetings: there are meeting rooms and even a conference hall, you can use an A3 printer and even an A0 plotter. Shelves are filled with catalogs and samples of all materials available in stores, plus tea and coffee, comfortable chairs, and stylish design.

And most importantly, the reason to come here specifically — is the magical Premio trade gallery on the first floor of the first building of the Shopping Complex “Kashirsky Dvor.” Four thousand square meters where dozens of interior showrooms from leading European manufacturers are arranged spaciously.

Paint, tiles, sanitaryware, fireplaces, sofas — everything is gathered in one space, everything can be seen, touched, loved, chosen, and bought.

Specific tasks are solved easily. For example, you need a fireplace and cladding made from large-format natural and ceramic stones. We choose a texture that looks like rusted metal, and right next to it we find the dream sofa — Ardoni. Spacious yet unobtrusive, which you would only want to replace with something similar.

There are hand-assembled beds made from exclusive materials from Stearns & Foster — a well-known company supplying its products to the most luxurious hotels in the world. For such a bed, you might want a hydro-massage bathtub SSWW. Or maybe not hydro-massage — for example, Jacob Delafon. And for it, tiles in the form of slabs made from onyx Tubadzin sized to cover half a wall.

Pay attention: Carpet Allure with pile height of 7 mm, AW Carpet Teddy with pile height of 11.4 mm, ITC Carpet Gaia with pile height of 12 mm, AW Carpet Frenzy with pile height of 7 mm, AW Material often suggests solutions or sparks imagination: here are wallpapers with branches and birds on a gold background, if added as a feature wall in an elegant living room, they evoke associations with shibori and the 18th century.

If your task is clear and you need vibrant colors — look no further than the vibrant color showrooms of Sherwin-Williams or Caparol. Nearby is a boutique carpet ITC with a rich color palette and various pile densities, and further away is the beloved Arbonia radiator showroom with unlimited color options.
