If possible, create a wardrobe room
In any apartment, it's important to allocate as much space as possible for storing things, otherwise even the most beautiful interior can quickly become cluttered. When possible, I create wardrobe rooms rather than regular wardrobes: they visually lighten the interior and make life easier. However, this isn't always feasible due to space constraints.

Storage under the bed
A platform bed with spacious sliding drawers underneath is a convenient storage option in small apartments. The headboard can also be used as an additional shelf for items.

Closet by the entrance to the apartment
If you value open space and dislike unnecessary details, a closed closet in the hallway is an ideal solution. It can be used to store outerwear, bags, umbrellas, shoes, and accessories.

Use open storage systems if you don't have another exit
These require caution and not to overdo it, otherwise the home will always look messy. Hooks and hangers in the hallway are acceptable if you understand why you need them.
For example, recently I had a project for a family with three children. It was clear that the kids wouldn't put clothes in the closet upon entering, so hooks were just right.

Closets in the headboard area
Spacious closets around the headboard are a good storage option in bedrooms where there's no space for a wardrobe or a walk-in closet. It’s better to choose light-colored wardrobes to keep the space feeling more airy.

Place a clothing rack
If you don’t have enough space for clothes, you can install an attractive rack or rail. Or even a stylish designer piece that can hold clothing (e.g., a stylized mannequin).
Truthfully, such items look stylish on Pinterest, but in reality it’s not that simple. For photoshoots, stylists carefully select clothing based on shape and color to ensure they match each other rather than just throwing on random garments.
