Save to Bookmarks: Cleaning Guide That Saves Energy
If you plan all your tasks in advance and set reminders for yourself, you won't forget about cleaning. And if you tidy up a little every day, you won't need to spend entire weekends on it.
Every day
- Ventilate all rooms;
- Take out the trash;
- Water the plants;
- Put dirty laundry in the basket;
- Wash dishes.
Ten minutes. Exactly the amount of time you'll need to get these tasks done and enjoy doing what you love.

Every week
- Sweep, vacuum, wash floors;
- Dust off surfaces;
- Wash and dry laundry;
- Change towels;
- Change bed linen;
- Organize the refrigerator and make a shopping list for next week;
- Clean the coffee machine;
- Dust the stove;
- Replace all dishcloths and kitchen towels with clean ones;
- Organize the closet.
Choose one day for cleaning and add it to your calendar. It will be easier to control this process, and you won't forget anything.

Every two weeks
- Clean the refrigerator and microwave;
- Clean the bathroom;
- Vacuum soft furniture;
- Dust hard-to-reach places (chandeliers, window sills, radiators);
- Clean the stove and oven;
- Wash the sink;
- Clean shoes;
- Organize the desk;
- Disinfect the trash can and laundry basket;
- Organize under the bed.
If you clean your apartment a little at a time, you'll have more time for yourself and family on the weekends.

Every month
- Wash rugs;
- Review household cleaning products: discard empty tubes and buy new ones;
- Clean the kettle from limescale;
- Organize shelves and drawers;
- Dust under books on bookshelves;
- Wash the shower curtain;
- Dry the rubber gasket in the washing machine;
- Buy fresh flowers.
Distribute these tasks in your calendar for the month ahead. It's more convenient to plan this way, and you won't need to spend an entire day on cleaning.

Every two to three months
- Move furniture and dust floors;
- Send clothes to dry cleaning;
- Change sachets and air fresheners in rooms;
- Organize spices on the kitchen counter;
- Clean the range hood;
- Wash shelves in the refrigerator;
- Clear pipes;
- Check expiration dates of cosmetics;
- Wash throws, pillows, and blankets;
- Replace old cutting boards with new ones.
Order saves time when searching for the right item. How much time could you save if you didn't have to look for chicken spices all over the kitchen?

Every six months
- Do a review of your wardrobe and donate unnecessary items;
- Clean the windows;
- Wash curtains;
- Organize the balcony;
- Put away seasonal items and take out what you need;
- Do a review of dishes and discard anything that’s no longer usable;
- Do a review of the medicine cabinet: discard expired medications;
- Get rid of accumulated clutter: boxes from tech and shoes, old magazines, newspapers, unnecessary business cards, discount cards, etc.;
- Sort through important documents and discard what’s no longer needed.
