How to Uniquely Decorate a Home? Idea #1 — Swing in the Living Room
This house is located by Lake Ojaren, one hour's drive from Stockholm. Instead of sofas, there are wooden benches and swings, a recording studio replaced the living room, and steps serve as a shoe rack. Take a look for yourself!
With a floor area of 300 square meters and ceiling heights of eight meters, the famous Scandinavian practicality took a back seat in this mansion, yielding to an atmosphere of adventure and creativity.
For example, out of eight rooms, only three are bedrooms, and the rest of the space is equipped as a recording studio. The house has room for a drum kit, and there's a piano on the kitchen. Walls in the rooms are painted mint green and orange instead of the usual white. There's also a stable and a garden with access to the lake.

The interior of the house is simple and, at first glance, casual. For example, in the kitchen-dining room, most storage systems are open. On the shelves, dishes stand next to books, and on the hood, canned goods and pickles are stored.
Despite such a varied 'decoration', the interior feels very cozy. The balance is achieved through connecting textures: wooden floors, furniture, and white walls.

Instead of a living room, there is a full recording studio. Drums, guitars, piano, xylophone, sound equipment, vintage gramophones, and vinyl records fill the shelves. It's a great place to relax—lying on a lounge chair or swaying on swings. By the way, next to books and vinyls, there's a real open bar.

From the living room, a staircase leads upstairs to the bedrooms. The first thing that catches the eye on the second floor is wall color.

The bedroom interiors are mostly simple, though one has a bright orange wall behind the headboard. One of the rooms was combined with a relaxation zone, and even has a fireplace inside.

The bathroom is separate. It's simple and functional.

Despite the size of the house, the entrance hall is small but interesting. For example, instead of a shoe rack, steps were made: one can sit and arrange shoes. Instead of a wide wardrobe, a wooden garden bench was placed. Even the shelf is unusual—look at those tiny woven baskets for small items!

Another charm of the house is the stable and garden.
