Studio Apartment in Sweden with Loft Vibe
The layout and size of this studio in Goteborg closely resemble a compact 35 square meter flat in Stockholm, which we recently wrote about. Although this apartment is three meters larger than the Stockholm one, both have white walls and even corridors of identical width.

Similarities end here, as the two apartments are decorated completely differently. While vintage set the tone for the previous compact flat, here clean surfaces and bright loft accents are in focus.

The interior designer is Emma Fisher, a Swedish decorator and interior stylist. In her work, Emma occasionally uses industrial-style elements and decor, although very sparingly. Here, however, these techniques are more prevalent than usual, and they stand out more vividly thanks to the white walls as a backdrop.

First off, Emma cleared a small section of the brickwork on the kitchen wall. This is one of her favorite tricks, also used in another project — an apartment in Stockholm.
The next step is industrial lighting. The designer provided a kitchen with something resembling an old mechanism light fixture and brutal floor lamps and wall sconces in the living room.

Furniture is mainly modern and minimalist, such that it can be easily complemented with elements from other styles. Thus, the mesh chair in the living room does not clash with the sleek sofa and a pair of tall poufs, while the distressed table lives harmoniously with iconic ant chairs.

Some elements of the decor strongly evoke thoughts of old warehouses and factory floors. For instance, this floor-standing coat rack in the living room and shelf in the hallway made from metal pipes, as well as a wooden stepladder that looks like it was placed here more for ambiance than practicality.
Such unusual items are definitely needed in every home or apartment. Often, they add individuality to the interior, even if they look a bit odd.
