The image of inspiration clearly shows the contrast between geometric lines and floral motifs, which I plan to incorporate into our kitchen as the main effect. I also like the thoughtfully chosen decorative items that do not clutter the room but add warmth to it.

Starting the Work: Creating a Mood Board

To begin, it's necessary to plan a mood board that reflects the concept and color palette of the future interior. Since the space is small, it's best to choose neutral light tones as the color base. They visually expand the space. Adding a calm and harmonious green tone can bring more liveliness and energy to the interior. The contrast between straight lines of kitchen cabinets and tiles with natural ornamental wallpaper creates an additional accent.

Decorative items should be proportional to the space. A small room needs small items. They must perfectly support the interior style or work in full contrast. Midpoint spoils everything.

Decor should not stand out from the room's color palette. Adding one contrasting color is acceptable and even good, but mixing more than four tones in an interior is not advisable.

A less expensive way to add individuality to the interior is to choose unusual curtains: with a pattern or solid-colored but eye-catching.

Original furniture items will add color to the interior and look stylish against a neutral-toned kitchen. Wallpaper with geometric patterns is a safe bet. Be careful with it: to avoid overdoing it, it's better to wallpaper only one accent wall. An interesting solution is bright kitchen appliances: refrigerators, toasters, kettles in various colors.

Arranging Furniture and Decor

• When creating a kitchen zone, remember the rule of the working triangle “refrigerator-sink-stove.” Therefore, it's not advisable to place the refrigerator far from the cooking area.
