Ask yourself these questions before deciding to update

A white kitchen is freshness, lightness, and cleanliness that everyone dreams of. But are you ready to decorate a snow-white kitchen? Ask yourself 5 simple questions to find out.

How much are you willing to spend?

If you choose a low or medium-quality cabinet, there is a chance it will quickly lose its appearance. Make sure to pay attention to materials and paint. If you want a glossy white surface, choose MDF.

Do you love cooking?

Some people just like to sit in the kitchen, drink a cup of coffee, and order ready-made food delivered. Others spend every day at the stove, knead dough, cook stew, often invite guests, and inevitably leave spots and streaks on the snow-white kitchen.

Think about whether you are ready to constantly deal with the consequences of your love for cooking and fun gatherings.

How often do you clean?

Continuing the discussion about cooking, it's important to note that you will have to clean frequently. Even if you don’t spend much time in the kitchen, dust and dirt won't wait long to appear — on a white floor they will be especially noticeable.

To make this process easier, choose easy-to-maintain materials. For example, light tile, ceramic granite, or stone would be perfect for the floor.

How bright is your kitchen?

The amount of sunlight that reaches the kitchen is an important factor. On one hand, in low light, white color will visually turn gray. On the other hand, over time, snow-white cabinetry may yellow if exposed to direct sunlight.

Check which direction the windows face and how much sunlight enters the kitchen daily. Don’t forget to hang curtains or blinds.

Will you combine white with other colors?

This looks beautiful and will definitely liven up the kitchen interior. But remember that on any dark surfaces adjacent to white, every speck of dust will be visible.
