Before and After: How They Transformed 'Killed' Bathrooms
We've already shared how designers and flat owners give new life to their kitchens. Now it's time for bathrooms.
Bathroom in warm tones in a Stalin-era flat
All partitions in this flat were demolished and rebuilt. The bathroom finish was chosen classic — tiles were laid on the floor and walls in calm warm tones. The sink cabinet was made to order. There were also many shelves added for convenient storage of cosmetics and accessories.

Light bathroom in a two-story house
A two-story house built according to a standard project was inherited by new owners in poor condition. There were no major re-planning works — only the purpose of rooms was changed. The bathroom was organized on the second floor with mansard windows. For finishing, a green palette was chosen: the lower part of the walls is decorated with white-green tiles, and the upper part is painted in pastel green. The floor was covered with metlakh tiles with a geometric pattern matching the wall tone.

To transform a boring bathroom in a standard P-44 panel house into a cozy space, designer Anna Kovalchenko replaced the bathtub with a shower, tiled part of the walls, and painted another part. It immediately became more spacious and bright.

A flat for Airbnb rental needed to be redesigned as quickly as possible (in 3–7 days) and with minimal budget. Light tiles on the walls and floor in the bathroom, and all furniture and decor are from IKEA and H&M Home.
