What to Buy: New Industriell Collection by IKEA

Developed in collaboration with Dutch designer Piot Hain, IKEA created the Industriell collection. All items feature charming imperfection and ‘craftsman-like’ individuality, which is quite unexpected for furniture mass-produced in large quantities.

Piot Hain is a designer who creates furniture from production waste, which can be found in hotels and galleries across the world.

Kitchen Towel

Instead of precise and regular embroidery patterns, sketches made by hand were used. The 100% linen from which the towels are made adds an interesting texture to the kitchen interior.

The symmetry of these chairs had to be slightly broken to prevent them from looking like exact copies of each other. The model is available in 6 colors — take several different ones to create a stylish mix.
