Inspiration: Interior Design Idea
The popular style 'New Classicism' is the perfect choice for everyone who loves refined and thoughtful design solutions, as well as dreams of breathing new life into traditional classical interiors.
To bring it to life is quite simple. In the interior from the cover, I like the clear layout, a complex green color in wall finishing, classical ceiling cornices, and minimalism of straight lines.

Starting the work: decide on a color scheme
It's important to begin working on the interior concept with a collage. It will help you see and feel the mood of the future interior, as well as determine the color palette.
In our case, I decided to emphasize a mix of complex green and muted purple — look how vibrant this friendship is! But don't panic too early — to harmonize this contrast, we'll use gray, beige, and milk tones — both in finishing and furniture and textiles. These calm colors we will also complement with mint-toned accessories and cool gray-blue shades — this will create a lively and refined palette for the living room.
All materials I found at the store 'Leroy Merlin'. Here, on site, I created a collage.

Proceeding to the renovation
You can find everything you need for room finishing at a good price in the 'Leroy Merlin' store. Let's look and remember what we'll need.
For the floor, I chose light Sinteros Europarket parquet boards. The ideal paint for the ceiling is dazzling white. Due to natural marble particles in its composition, it reflects light more intensely, making the room appear brighter and ceilings higher. Don't forget about a wide ceiling cornice — a tribute to classical style and another foolproof way to visually raise the ceiling. On the ceiling, we will place a composition of polyurethane ceiling cornices in various diameters and designs (20 cm, 25 cm, 29 cm, 34 cm, 40.3 cm). We will paint them in ceiling color. We will use the same white paint for one wall in the living room. The option for finishing other vertical surfaces is monochrome wallpapers on a flocked base with a painted wall effect.
Budget planning*
To estimate the approximate cost of the renovation, I took the size of a standard living room — 20 square meters.
- Parquet boards: 15 packages (+3 if installation is done diagonally)
18 Х 1531 = 27 558 ₽ - Parquet adhesive: 2 buckets
672 Х 2 = 1 344 ₽ - Green wallpapers: 9 rolls (at a ceiling height of — 2.60 m)
9 Х 971 = 8 739 ₽ - Wallpaper adhesive: 4 packages
4 Х 120 = 480 ₽ - Polyurethane ceiling cornices (diameters 40.3 cm, 34 cm, 29 cm, 25 cm, 20 cm)
3190 ₽ - Ceiling cornice: 5 pcs. (width — 9 cm)
5 Х 87 = 435 ₽ - Cornice and trim adhesive: 4 packages
4 Х 71 = 284 ₽ - Paint for ceiling, trim and wall: 3 packages
3 Х 930 = 2 790 ₽
TOtal: 44 820 ₽

Design hacks that speed up or improve your renovation
There are simple ways to spend less time on work but still achieve excellent results.
Lay parquet boards diagonally — this visually expands the space.
Wallpaper removal fluid helps quickly clean walls from old wallpapers.
Are you dealing with cutting wallpapers? A flexible ruler that can be tightly pressed even against uneven surfaces is simply irreplaceable. Paint the ceiling in stripes: slightly overlap each next stripe onto the previous one. Important: move from the window toward the center of the room. Before painting walls, remove the switch and outlet covers. If this isn't possible, paint the area around outlets with a small brush, covering plastic with masking tape.

Time to choose furniture and decor
The majority of items in the interior should be simple and minimalist, preferably in neutral tones. However, one or two pieces can be deliberately stylized: try placing transparent plastic chairs and a deliberately classical velvet chair in malachite color in the living room.
Remember, in a living room in new classical style there should be nothing extra — in decor, focus on what's most important.
The ceiling chandelier is always an accent in interiors in the neoclassical style. This model will definitely not go unnoticed.
A purple decorative pillow is a stylish and elegant solution.
A carpet with a classical pattern neutralizes contrasts in finishing and furniture.
Sheer curtains on rings will create a cozy atmosphere. Choose the fabric in the color of contrasting wallpapers.
Empty walls can be decorated with silver frames of various sizes — they always look stylish, and geometry sets the rhythm.
Another decorative pillow in dusty blue color. This time made from plush.
If, according to your feelings, the living room lacks history, just remember elegant statuettes and patina. Just don't overdo it with their quantity. Any excess is a challenge for perfection.
