Modern Classic in Interior Design: Apartment in Sweden
In houses with exquisite architecture, apartments are usually in line with it: high ceilings, moldings, and noble parquet flooring «pine». This four-room apartment in one of the historic apartment buildings in Stockholm is no exception.
With a total area of 114 square meters, two bathrooms, and a balcony, the apartment features a convenient layout with bedrooms and a child's room on one side of the corridor and the living area on the other.

The size of the apartment required more storage space, so built-in wardrobes were installed in each bedroom, as well as a spacious walk-in closet. The hall also features wardrobes that were not hidden but rather made into a decorative part of the interior. And rightly so: the ornate doors with bold hardware beautifully complemented the elegant inter-room doors with high casings.

For the color scheme of the interior, gray tones were chosen, which were complemented with blue and pink, and a touch of warmth and softness was added with gold accents. Despite the fact that deep color contrasts in the interior are minimal, the same palette of tones looks different in each room but always appears lively and noble.

Modern classic style, in which the interior is decorated, naturally emerged and fits perfectly with this apartment. Although this style is more relaxed and light compared to canonical classical interiors, in both cases the design still follows traditional rules.
The main rule of this apartment can be safely called symmetry, which is evident in every piece of furniture and decor — right down to the arrangement of pillows, table lamps, and candles.

The highlight of the interior was an abundance of fresh flowers. Most floral arrangements were made in classic pots and vases on legs — such refined floristic details add sophistication even to the most minimalist interior.
